For the past three successive school years, they have reported that use of the Challenge Day programs significantly contributed to their ability to reduce suspension rates. Again in 2003, Drug Free Schools Coordinator Wayne Brady reported, "The focus of the Challenge Day program is literally to change the hearts of participants because only then can they begin to change their behavior. It works. ...Use of the Challenge Day [workshop] is clearly the program that continues to lead to fewer suspensions and more academic time on task....".

Percentage of Reduction in Suspension Rates

In a conversation with the co-founders in February 2004, Nancy Johnson, Director of Mercer House, the state-wide grant administrators, said that early results from the newest pre/post surveys indicate that Challenge Day's results exceed those of every other "Best Practice" Program in the state!
